FSWD exhibition in Aveiro, Portugal

About the exhibition

After its successful visit to the CGAC in Santiago de Compostela, the exhibition crossed our borders, making its debut in Portugal in its first international tour. It opened on February 21 with a guided tour led by the curators Uqui Permui and Ángel Martínez, accompanied by the rector and vice-rector of the UA, as well as the professor and curator of the tour in Aveiro, Francisco Providência.

Within the framework of this tour, the University of Aveiro presented the publication “25 paths/ 25 years of thinking in Design at the UA”, a collection of essays on 25 pieces from the exhibition. FSWD / Identity and Territory is conceived as a living “entity” in its tours, so the pieces on display vary from one exhibition to another. In Aveiro it was made up of more than 120 pieces, including the ‘Revés’ chair by Muka Design Lab.

“The title in English indicates the intention of the organizers, both to add to global export and to gain international recognition for the specificity of their offer. Spanish design, hand in hand with industry, has attributed more value to goods tradable in Spain, but also abroad”.
