FSWD / Identity and Territory wants to make visible various and varied initiatives carried out by studios and professionals in our country in recent years to disseminate the productive layer that has allies such as production and distribution companies. Companies that understand the role of the discipline, its transformative power, its contribution to society, to whom we are grateful for their collaboration in conducting this exhibition.

The FSWD / Identity and Territory exhibition brings together design projects from different areas that, beyond responding to the slogan of the call, stand out for their quality, for their projection in the national and international market, for being a model of synergy between designer and company, for providing coherent responses and building value. In addition to this backbone idea, there are different conceptual axes that contribute to narrowing down a selection of works from different fields:

Identity and Territory, Intersections, Internationalization, Sustainability and Complicities. Through them, we subtly approach the stories offered by object, spaces or ways of communicating, which have had a use, a utility, an end; and which have created identity from the context in which they were born, responding to a problem or demand and, above all, to people’s needs.

Production of display stands

The production of the different display stands has been possible thanks to the support of the Xunta de Galicia, through the Axencia Galega da Industria Forestal (XERA). The pieces-stands, as well as the boxes for transporting the pieces, were handmade in Galicia using Galician pine wood, at a local carpentry workshop.

We apply environmental sustainability criteria to all aspects of the exhibition project, both in the design and manufacturing phases.
